The Wichita-based e2e accelerator names Jacob Wayman as its Director. The organization continues to gain steam as it prepares for its first cohort of participants this summer.
The Department of Commerce program was scheduled to sunset this session, but will continue to benefit Kansas. It was saved during the last days of the session when the Kansas Legislature approved House Bill 2405. The bill extends the use of angel investment tax credits through 2021. The Angel Investment Tax Credit program has been in existence since it was included in the 2004 Kansas Economic Growth Act. The Angel Investor Tax Credit program gives accredited investors a 50 percent tax credit on cash investment up to $50,000 in a business qualified by Department of Commerce standards.
